|The Building Owners and Managers Association of Suburban Chicago has served the commercial office industry for over thirty-nine years. Founded in December 1970, BOMA/Suburban Chicago actively and responsibly represents and promotes the interests of the industry through effective leadership and advocacy; through the collection, analysis and dissemination of information; and through professional development.
BOMA/Suburban Chicago represents over sixty-three million square feet of office space in commercial office buildings, government buildings, medical buildings and corporate headquarters located in Suburban Cook, DuPage, Kane and Lake Counties, as well as Rockford, Illinois and Hammond, Indiana. Open communication is fostered between the Association and its members, and those who are having an effect on the industry, both professionally and legislatively.
BOMA/Suburban Chicago sponsors bimonthly Members Lunch programs, webinars, classes and seminars, a weekly email update, a bimonthly newsletter, and a quarterly magazine, all designed to help members be better professionals. Peer Networking events also give members an opportunity to network and get to know each other better. Bimonthly breakfasts are held for member-building engineers, along with bimonthly program lunches for member-property management assistants, as well.
The Association is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by the voting membership. Standing and Special Committees work with the Board to accomplish its goals. Members are invited to participate on these committees.
Our involvement with the BOMA Suburban…
Moore Landscapes has been an active associate member of BOMA Suburban since 2007. Our involvement includes sponsoring events and publications, volunteering, and continually promoting the organization throughout the year. Jan Wemple, Sales & Design Consultant, was recognized for her outstanding involvement and excitement for the association when she won the “Associate of the Year” in 2008. Jan is an example to fellow associates on how they can benefit from their memberships by reaching out to property professionals and establishing positive relationships with them. Jan Wemple and Gordon Held can be seen actively participating in the many BOMA Suburban special events, luncheons, and other networking opportunities.
